Adult Hearing Tests

Adult hearing exams start with a questionnaire, giving us information about the state of your hearing. The test itself involves a physical ear evaluation, an analysis of your middle ear, and a process to gauge your hearing sensitivity and ability to discriminate speech in each ear.

We’ll review the results together to let you know if you need hearing aids or medical intervention.

Child Hearing Tests

We conduct hearing exams on babies six months and older at the Toronto Head and Neck location, as well as children who are older than three at the Dufferin location. We ask them to perform a simple activity, such as putting a ring on a peg, when they hear a certain sound. The frequency of the sound varies, helping us determine the level of potential hearing loss.

We’ll review the results with you, discussing any necessary future steps to help your child’s hearing.
